Louis Roederer Rose' 2005
Production

Louis Roederer uses the Méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Rose' 2005 blend is composed of 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay (20% of the wines matured in oak with weekly batonnage). No malolactic fermentation occurs. The 2005 Vintage Rose' is created using the saignée method following cold skin-contact maceration which may last 5 to 8 days.

Rose' 2005 ages an average of 4 years in the cellars before disgorgement. The dosagé of between 8 and 10 grams/liter is fine-tuned for each vintage. It rests an additional 6 months after disgorgement.
