Ruinart Rose'
Production

Ruinart uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The non-vintage Rose' is composed of 55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay with most grapes coming from Premier Crus. Grapes are hand picked. 18 to 19% of still red wine that has gone through a short maceration (approximately 5 days) for color extraction is incorporated. Ruinart uses a pneumatic press instead of traditional champagne press to guard against oxidation. They also use inert nitrogen at every stage of the winemaking process to further protect from oxidation. Vinification is only in stainless steel. The Ruinart Rose' goes through full malolactic fermentation. Dosage is 9 grams per liter. The wine is aged up to 3 years in the cellars.
