Cristal 2005 Champagne is a vintage brut prestige cuvée that is produced from grapes grown in Louis Roederer Grand Cru vineyards. Cristal 2004 is heaven in a glass. Even in youth it is open, aromatic, and wonderfully delicious.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Brilliant pale gold with smoothly flowing extra fine bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Apple pie, Caramel, limestone, brioche with subtle floral hints.
Palate: Dry, crisp and fresh. Wonderfully balanced. Apple, pear, a touch of lemon. Elegant mouthfeel from the ultra fine bubbles. Lingering finish.
Additional comments: Heaven in a glass. Even in youth it is open, aromatic, and wonderfully delicious.
When to drink: This luscious Louis Roederer Cristal 2005 Champagne will get even better with age (wait if you can!). Now – 2025, Best: 2016-2022

Cristal 2005
Production

Louis Roederer uses the Méthode champenoise for their Cristal 2005 Champagne production. The Cristal 2005 blend is composed of 55% Pinot noir and 45% Chardonnay (20% of which is matured in oak casks with weekly batonnage). No malolactic fermentation occurs. Cristal is produced from grapes grown in Louis Roederer Grand Cru vineyards.

Cristal ages an average of 5 years in the cellars before disgorgement. The dosagé of between 8 and 10 grams/liter is customized to complement each vintage. Cristal rests an additional 8 months after disgorgement.
