Tasting Notes
Appearance: Pale salmon with bright clarity. Very fine consistent flow of bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Lemon zest, apple pie and strawberry mingle with brioche and just a hint of cedar.
Palate: Dry and crisp with apple, strawberry, dried fruit, lemon drop and some yeasty flavors. Fine silky moughfeel with a lingering finish.
Additional comments: Luxurious and rich with elegance and freshness.

Cristal Rose' 2002

Louis Roederer uses the Méthode champenoise for their Cristal Rose' 2002 Champagne production. The blend is composed of 60% Pinot noir and 40% Chardonnay (20% of the wines vinified in oak casks with weekly batonnage). No malolactic fermentation occurs. Cristal Rose' is created using the saignée method after cold maceration that can last 5 to 8 days in the liquid phase.

Cristal Rose' 2002 ages an average of 6 years in the cellars before disgorgement. The dosagé of between 8 and 10 grams/liter is customized to complement each vintage. It rests an additional 8 months after disgorgement.
