Tasting Notes
Appearance: Pale golden color with lots of tiny bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Pear, apple, lemon, fresh gingerbread, hazelnut. Flinty minerality
Palate: Green apple, lemon, orange, biscuit. Refreshing minerality. Just a hint of pineapple.
Additional comments: Rich and balanced. good quality/price ratio. Not as approachable as the 2004.

Taittinger Brut Millesime 2005
Production
Taittinger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Brut Millesime 2005 is composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. Harvest began on September 12. Much of the blend is from grand crus. Only first press juice was used. Taittinger Brut Millesime 2005 is aged 5 to 6 years on the lees prior to disgorgement. The dosage was approximately 9 grams/liter.
